Back in the saddle

I feel a little better today. I woke up still feeling a little heavy in the stomach, like my stomach was still working on that sandwich from Paneras. I sipped cayenne lemonade for most of the morning, and bought an odwalla protein shake after taking my son to a soccer game. I also mixed up some superfood powder with a couple bananas and orange juice. I’m feeling satisfied and ready to get back on with my raw food planning. I’m off today, but back at work tomorrow. I just had my schedule change, which I am not happy about. Instead of working 6a-330p, I’ll be going in 430p and not getting off till 230a. I’ve always had trouble controlling my eating on a night schedule. If it were days, I eat the bulk of my food during working hours and eat light or have a protein shake at home in the evening, which is best when you’re trying to lose weight. Now, I don’t know how I’ll be able to keep from eating after midnite. This is usually when I’m hungriest, and my job is so physical (assembly line work) that I’m bound to work up an appetite. My biggest challenge might actually be staying away from caffeinated sodas. Those along with energy drinks were my crutch to make it through late hours. I’ve been pretty energetic with my fruits and veggies through the daylight hours, so maybe I’ll just stay confident that they’ll help me at night too.

I hope that you’ll be able to find an eating plan that will work for your new shift change. Ugh night shift let alone assembly work… you’re one tough woman! I’ve tried it before and I was not cut out for it the monatony of it got to me. Best of luck and keep up with eating healthy!
