Oh, so that’s why I stink!

I have definitely noticed the smell of my sweat being stronger in the last several weeks. I blamed it on switching to an all natural deoderant (not antiperspirant). But I was reading in one of my raw books, can’t remember title, that a strong odor is common/natural part of detoxification process when you’re fasting because the body is releasing its acidity. I’m happy to know my body is balancing itself, but its a little uncomfortable having such a strong smell. I have been scrubbing my pits with antibacterial soap, since I know that bacteria is the cause of armpit smell and hoping that would cut the odor. Thank goodness I am the only one that can smell it.  I felt so self conscious yesterday that I apologized to a coworker I was in very close quarters with and explained how I had switched deoderants and that I hoped she didn’t smell me (I did very strongly). But to my amazement she said she didn’t notice a thing. I’m not sure if she was just being nice, or if maybe my nose is becoming more sensitive as well. Okay, that’s it. Just another observation of the raw food journey. Oh yeah, I was SO craving a slice of pizza the last hour of work, but its much too late/early in the morning to go to the store to buy a frozen pizza and at 3 in the morning all the pizzerias are closed. Thank goodness for small miracles. I’m going to look up some raw pizza recipes tomorrow when I wake up just in case the craving comes back.

Great job for keeping up on the raw food. It’s funny how our bodies change when we undergo new changes. Hopefully the stinky pits will soon be a thing of the past.
