I hate cardio

Just to get that out of my system.  I’ts funny, but when I’m at work or at home I have the urge to work out sometimes, but when I’m actually going through the door at the gym I’m not all that excited anymore. I’ve worked my way up to 30 minutes on the elliptical, tread ,and bike. But I can still only make it through about 15 minutes at a time on that darn stairmaster. Its so tough! I took a quick break today and added an extra ten after a while,so that’s something. In a nutshell, I do not like cardio, but I love how its trimming off the fat and making me feel afterwards. Yay me!

    what about finding some other ways to get your cardio in?

    have you ever taken a step class at the gym or something like that?
    I love it
    its so much fun and a great workout at the same time
    so much less boring to me than the treadmill, or elliptical etc.

    I find the key for me is to make exercise fun whenever I can
    the other thing I love is Aquafit at the pool
    another great workout thats fun

    Is it cardio you hate, or cardio machines? I can’t stand doing my cardio on an elliptical or treadmill or anything else mechanical! Maybe try walking or jogging or kickboxing or dancing.

    Sometimes I am annoyed with it too, but I find that if I make sure to have lots of good music on my mp3, and focus on something interesting the time flies by. I always bring a magazine to the gym in case nothing good is on tv - even though it is hard to focus on the magazine with the ups and downs, I manage, and my hour workout zips by. Way to go on getting yourself there!

    I feel you there and the stairmaster aint no joke…i see this little skinny girl on the stair stepper goin to town for like an hour everytime i’m at the gym and i’m like “damn!” shes makin it look all easy and then one say i’m like “hhmmm maybe i should try that!!” girl i got on and my muscles were burnin,i was pourin sweat, and i only lasted 4 min!! That thing is plain out evil!! lol…but Keep up the good work!!
